Scott Soderling received his PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Washington and did his postdoctoral training at the Vollum Institute in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Soderling joined the faculty of Duke University in 2005 where he is currently a Professor of Cell Biology and Neurobiology and the Chair of Cell Biology. He also serves as the Scientific Director of the Duke University Transgenic Core Facility and is the Founder of CasTag Biosciences. His laboratory studies the proteome organization and function of diverse synapses using mice as a model organism. He has pioneered new proteomic and CRISPR-based approaches to decipher brain wiring at the molecular level in both normal and disease states.
